We’re just a couple of months out from the March 22 launch of Princess Peach: Showtime!, Princess Peach’s first starring role in almost 20 years. (The last one was Super Princess Peach for Nintendo DS, way back in 2005.) A new trailer sheds some more light on what the Mushroom Kingdom’s princess has in store in her new adventure.
In Showtime!, Princess Peach teams up with the guardian of the Sparkle Theatre to protect the theatre from an evil acting troupe, the Sour Bunch. Keeping with the theatrical theme, Peach can transform by way of a costume change, accessing relevant new abilities in the process.
The new trailer introduces two new transformations: Ninja Peach, who can hide in shadows and shrubbery to sneak up on enemies, and Cowgirl Peach, an expert in horseback riding and lasso. Some previously-revealed transformations also get a look, including Swordfighter Peach, Kung Fu Peach, Detective Peach, Patissiere Peach.
Nintendo also unveiled a new Joy-Con colour, releasing alongside Showtime: Pastel Pink, in celebration of Princess Peach. It will be available from select retailers and the My Nintendo Store.
Princess Peach: Showtime! is launches March 22 for Nintendo Switch.
