Forza Horizon 6 is set in Japan and coming in 2026
As revealed in today’s teaser, Playground Games is thrilled to be taking players to Japan in Forza Horizon 6, the next entry in the critically acclaimed and award-winning Forza Horizon series. As one of the most requested locations destinations for the open-world driving series, players will get to discover a scenic, breathtaking, and culturally authentic Japan as they aim to become a Legend at the Horizon Festival.
Forza Horizon 6 will launch first on Xbox Series X|S consoles and PC in 2026 and be included with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass at launch. Additionally, Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios are working together to bring Forza Horizon 6 to PlayStation 5 post-launch. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 releasing World Update XX: Japan
The majesty of Japan’s countryside and the lights and sounds of its big cities are the focus of the latest World Update for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Released as an update across Xbox consoles and PC, World Update XX: Japan visually overhauls the country in the simulator, with special emphasis on numerous points of interest across Japan. As with every World and City update, World Update XX: Japan will be free for all Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 players.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is available now on Xbox Series X|S consoles and PC and is included in Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
Age of Mythology: Heavenly Spear Offers a New Look Ahead of Next Week’s Launch
Age of Mythology: Retold’s next expansion, Heavenly Spear takes players to Japan, where they’ll encounter new gods, new monsters, new powers, a new story, and more. The brand-new 12 mission campaign focuses on Yasuko, a farmer’s daughter who takes on a new destiny when she discovers a magical spear. As war looms and chaos spreads across the land, Yasuko must uncover the relic’s secrets and prevent it from falling into the hands of Kagemasa, a ruthless warlord who seeks to imprison the sun goddess Amaterasu and claim godhood for himself.
Heavenly Spear launches on September 30, with preorders open now on most platforms. Those who purchase the Age of Mythology: Retold – Premium Editionwill receive Heavenly Spear upon launch.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 takes players deep into Japan, immersing them in one of the most visually and culturally rich settings the team has ever built, while delivering the gameplay that Black Ops is known for. With several of the game’s 18 multiplayer launch maps inspired by Japan, the team revealed the first details of two of them. Den is a sprawling Japanese compound set in a castle, blending tradition with 2035 tech, while Toshin, playable in the Black Ops 7 Beta, transports players into the heart of neon-lit Tokyo with unique play spaces including a cat cafe and karaoke room.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 OpenBeta will run from October 5 – 8, with Early Access for those who have pre-ordered the game and eligible Game Pass subscribers granted on October 2. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launches globally on November 14.
