And no, not just safe from hearing you watch Deadpool in the lounge. The real risk is sound being too loud. Anyone who has accidentally blasted their ears when they didn’t realise how loud the volume was will know that pain.

Well JBL’s new range is designed for for young listeners. They have done this with three new junior headphones featuring next-generation JBL Safe Sound. With volume and playtime limits, activity reports, and a personalised countdown reminder, kids can now enjoy JBL Sound tailored for little ears with the wireless JBL Junior 470NC and JBL Junior 320BT, and wired model JBL Junior 320.

    Kid-safe sound, parent approved

JBL Junior 470NC and JBL Junior 320BT bring added parental control via the JBL Headphones app. Set the max volume and how long kids can listen for. With ‘time-up’ reminders, parents can even record their own voice for prompt notifications.

Keeping an eye on their listening times has never been easier. Tap the app to provide real-time volume and activity time indicators, and daily or weekly activity reports on volume and time exposure to help maintain safe listening habits. Enjoy JBL Safe Sound without compromising on quality. Active Noise Cancelling in JBL Junior 470NC creates a personal sound bubble to help kids block out distracting sounds and allow them to enjoy music and videos at an even lower volume.

    Wireless freedom

Created to be ultra-portable, durable, and super comfortable, JBL Junior 470NC and 320BT are compact, foldable and free from wires, perfect for when they’re on the go. Keep them entertained for longer, with increased battery life and fast charging. Up to 50 hours of battery for JBL Junior 320BT and JBL Junior 470NC make them ideal for car rides or plane journeys. Multi-point connection also means you can have multiple devices on the go, easily switching from one Bluetooth device to another.

    How much are they?

The new Junior range is suitable for kids aged 3-8 years and are available now from JBL.co.nz and selected retailers.

JR 470 (RRP$129.95) is available in Blue, Pink and White.

JR 320 BT (RRP$79.95) is available in Green, Blue and Purple.
