Flight sim meets virtual tourism game Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has a new destination: Hawkins, Indiana, also known as “that odd little town from Stranger Things“.

The new, free Stranger Things expansion includes a full recreation of Hawkins to fly around, complete with over 40 featured landmarks from the show – and yes, that includes the Upside Down, with all the threats that lurk within. As a pilot for Hawkins Heli-Tours, you’ll be able to explore the town in a new Bell UH-1H “Huey” helicopter, and undertake “Murray’s Missions”, five intense missions as part of Murray Bauman’s smuggling crew.

More than just a setting for Stranger Things-themed flightseeing, the expansion has a story of its own that unfolds over the course of those missions. Brett Gelman, from the original Stranger Things cast, is back in the role of Murray, leading these missions as you help with cargo drops, rescues, and venture into the Upside Down.

The expansion is available for free to all Flight Simulator 2024 players. To access it, make sure your simulator is up-to-date, visit the in-game marketplace, and select the Stranger Things Expansion.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is available for Xbox, PC, and PlayStation 5.
