Did anyone expect PowerWash Simulator to be as big of a smash as it is? Maybe people who’ve used a water blaster in real life and know how much fun they are. Or people who enjoy watching pressure washing videos on YouTube. Or people who’ve played FuturLab’s other games (they’re good). So that’s quite a few people. Still, I think it’s fair to say the game’s runaway success exceeded all expectations, and after a couple of years of ongoing support through paid DLC and free updates, it’s probably time for a sequel.
Well, that sequel is on the way. This morning, FuturLab announced PowerWash Simulator 2, coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC in 2025.
A new 38-level campaign follows on from the events of PowerWash Simulator, letting players delve further into Muckingham’s mysteries while also venturing out to new locations like Sponge Valley, Power Falls, Lubri City, and Pumpton. The whole campaign will be playable solo or with friends, with a few improvements to make the multiplayer side of things more enjoyable—most notably, shared online career progression and split-screen co-op.
PowerWash Simulator 2 is also adding a new home base feature, giving you somewhere to kick back between jobs, hang out with friends, and decorate with furniture and trinkets found during your pressure washing adventures. The home base is apparently more than just a hangout spot, too, but more info about that will come at a later date.

Lastly, the new game will see a rework of how cleaning liquids work, making then more satisfying and effective to use. This time around, soap will work more like… well, soap. Foam up a dirty surface to loosen the grime, then wash it away with the washer.
At this stage, PowerWash Simulator 2 is confirmed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. It may be coming to Switch 2 as well, although there are no firm plans yet. FuturLab told Eurogamer in a statement that more info about a planned Switch 2 release would come later, before issuing a correction to say that “Whilst we would like to release on Switch 2, there are no current firm plans. We have no timeframe or news there.”
