It’s not long now, clean freaks! After a lot of teasing over the last couple of months, FuturLab finally announced the release date for PowerWash Simulator 2, and it’s only a couple of weeks away: October 23. For anyone wanting an early taste, there’s also a demo available on Steam.
PowerWash Simulator 2 is, unsurprisingly, the sequel to PowerWash Simulator, the water blaster sim that became a runaway hit after it launched in 2022. The first game made a splash by taking what everyone who’s ever used a pressure washer knows – that they’re a whole lot of fun, and it can be extremely satisfying to watch dirt blasting away – and sharing that joy with the masses. After a few years of steady support through both free and paid updates, it’s time for a sequel.
The new game promises a major overhaul of the original’s cleaning mechanics, with soap in particular getting a big redesign. It also comes with a whole array of new levels that go beyond the first game’s Muckingham setting, a new story woven through them, and sought-after new features like a customisable home base and local co-op.
PowerWash Simulator 2 is coming to PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2, priced at USD $24.99 / €24.99 / £19.99 / JP¥2970 (local pricing to be confirmed). It launches on October 23, although exact timing may vary from platform to platform, and time zone differences mean the Steam version will hit New Zealand in the wee hours of October 24.
A demo released on Steam last week includes two levels (“Endless replayability (as long as you don’t mind cleaning the same 2 levels)”), the starter washers, an unlockable floor cleaner, and some unlockable furniture to decorate your home base with.
