Strategic Mind: Spirit of Liberty is out today. It is described as a hardcore (their words, not mine), turn-based, historically accurate strategy game set in WWII.

The game is made by the Ukrainian developers Starni Games and published by the Polish publishers Hyperstrange.

Command Finnish forces and fend off legions of Soviet soldiers and Axis Powers in a legendary story of perseverance. Survive brutal battles during a historically dark period of the World War II era, and strategize defensive warfare tactics in a fight to protect the citizens of Finland from annihilation.

Step into history and experience a historically accurate campaign spanning the Winter War, Continuation War and Lapland War, or experience an alternative timeline with “what-if” battles. Navigate maps both small and large with real-world landmarks and objectives, and witness the realities of war through the eyes of authentic historical figures. Though outnumbered, achieve perfect positioning and line-of-sight advantages to outsmart the brute force of the soviets in historically accurate, turn-based isometric battles.

Strategic Mind: Spirit of Liberty has launched today on Steam for $36.99 NZD. Untill the the 4th of September you can get it for $31.44.
