Flesh and Blood has released it’s 13th set Part the Mistveil, and it looks pretty awesome. With some awesome Japanese style, Legend Story Studios showed serious intent to expand it’s player base in Japan by printing the game in Japanese.
Well it’s pretty easy to tell if it succeeded. Distributors took 100% of the Japanese stock two weeks before release date. A second print run is already underway to meet demand.
The popularity was also seen in the US and Europe, where pre-constructed Blitz deck collection box sets for the new set were ordered to full capacity.
Fans have been fervently waiting for the release of Part the Mistveil, which may very well be the most highly anticipated release ever for Flesh and Blood. Following a sold out World Premiere in Tokyo earlier in May to over 1000 people at the illustrious Belle Selle Takadanobaba and a record number of Pre-Release events and turnout held around the world, the official release of the new set looks to be one of the most popular releases ever from the studio.
Legend Story Studios Founder and CEO James White says this is the Flesh and Blood set he is most proud of, and the excitement from Japanese distributors shows the eagerness from audiences in Japan.
“Part the Mistveil holds a special place in my career and for our studio. Over the years we’ve seen passionate trading card game players across Japan wait for Flesh and Blood to be available in their mother tongue. Now we’ve brought our incredible game to the motherland of the TCG industry, marking a massive milestone for Legend Story Studios and the status of Flesh and Blood as a truly global game.
“Our studio honors Japan and its rich history and culture with Part the Mistveil. Flesh and Blood has landed in Japan to a flourishing community of world class TCG players, and I know we’ll be seeing Japanese players at the top of our Pro Play circuit soon.”
Fresh off the heels of the 12th set Heavy Hitters which brought fans big hitting melee gameplay, Part the Mistveil brings new heroes, new talents and new mechanics to the game, and is designed to pay homage to Japanese and Asian cultures with its contemporary take on some classical Japanese art styles.
