Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is getting FFXVI DLC

The last of the Season 3 DLC packs for Theatrhythm Final Bar Line has been announced: a Final Fantasy XVI pack. The bundle of 11 new tracks from Square Enix’s hit action RPG will be available from November 1, either as a standalone purchase or as part of the Season Pass Vol. 3.

Square Enix announced the FFXVI song pack at PAX West, as part of a Final Fantasy XVI panel. It includes the following tracks:

    • Ascension
    • Away
    • Control
    • Find the Flame
    • Hide, Hideaway
    • Logos
    • My Star
    • No Risk, No Reward
    • The Riddle
    • Titan Lost
    • To Sail Forbidden Seas

This is the last song pack on the Final Bar Line DLC road map, and one of the two packs that were kept a mystery when the DLC schedule was first revealed at the time of the game’s launch. (The other mystery pack was unveiled last month as a Bravely Default pack, launching October 11.) No plans for further song packs have been announced, though I still cling to hope we’ll see some more in future—the well of great music Square Enix can draw from still runs deep.

Additionally, Final Fantasy XVI producer Naoki Yoshida announced a thank you gift for FFXVI players in the form of alternate outfits for Clive and some other characters and a free Onion Sword weapon based on Final Fantasy III. The gifts are available now as part of the game’s 1.10 update, which also includes adjustments to Arcade Mode, additional game setting options, and various other tweaks. You can find the full patch notes here.
