Auckland is set to host its first-ever international tattoo convention – and we’ve got tickets to give away.
Roots Auckland Tattoo Convention lands at The Cloud on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 March 2026, bringing together 185 world-class tattoo artists from New Zealand and around the globe for a full weekend of live tattooing, competitions, art, culture and community.
With New Zealand ranking among the most tattooed countries in the world, Roots celebrates the artistry, storytelling and identity behind tattoo culture — all under one roof on Auckland’s waterfront.
Across two immersive days, visitors can experience:
• Live tattooing from leading local and international artists
• Tattoo competitions and artist seminars
• Interactive art installations
• A tattoo museum showcasing the history of Auckland’s oldest studio
• Food trucks, full bar and festival-style entertainment
