The latest game from Little Nightmares developer Tarsier Studios is out now: Reanimal, a co-op horror adventure for one or two players. It’s available for  PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

Reanimal is spiritual successor of sorts to Little Nightmares, albeit one intended to be more terrifying. It follows two orphaned siblings as they attempt to rescue their friends and escape a nightmarish version of their home. It blends survival horror, stealth, and environmental puzzle solving with a focus on cooperative play, either locally or online. A singleplayer mode is also available, with AI controlling the second character.

“The Reanimal experience is a clear reflection of who Tarsier is – a group of individuals with a shared sensibility that feel privileged to have been able to work together on a game like this,” said Oliver Merlöv, Managing Director, Tarsier Studios. “We believe the more personal the art, the more attention poured into every detail, the more worthy a game is of player’s time. We can’t wait for them to play Reanimal!”

Reanimal is Tarsier Studios’ first game since 2021’s Little Nightmares II (Little Nightmares III was developed by Supermassive Games), and their first to be published by THQ Nordic since being acquired by Embracer Group in 2019. It’s been well received so far, averaging 80-84 on Metacritic (with some variance between platforms).
