I feel like most people will have one game that comes to mind if you say Wii, and that is the iconic Wii Sports. So many fantastic memories are conjured by that game, and so many broken TV videos entertained us on social media. Since then, none of their motion games have quite captured the simplicity of being able to pick up and play the way that game did. Well, Nintendo is having another crack with Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, and it’s certainly the best attempt yet. So what does Nintendo Switch Sports Resort offer? https://youtu.be/fcfp7L87KPQ As you may expect,…

We all know the story of Robin Hood right? He is a rebel that steals from the rich, and gives to the poor. We have seen the story as action flicks, animated flicks, and even fantastic comedy flicks like Men in Tights. Well now with The Death of Robin Hood, you can now enjoy his story in a very dark, and very grim setting. I did say enjoy right? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fp_vDte5MfE The Death of Robin Hood starts with a young woman coming up to a very old Robin who is chilling by a fire in the wild. She asks if he…
Gears of War is such a fun series. When I initially joined the Xbox ecosystem, around the time of GoW3, I was under the impression it was a generic dumb action game. I mean ultra muscular dudes, wearing bandannas, and carrying massive guns with chainsaws on them to cut up alien locusts swarming the world… Can you blame me? Well, when I entered it, I quickly realised it was a game with all the hallmarks of a dumb fun action game, but with a shocking amount of heart below it thanks to some great writing. Since then, I have been…
Star Wars games have been a mixed bag, with them varying from total pants to shockingly great. After Star Wars: Zero Company was shockingly excellent, I wasn’t expecting another good Star Wars game for a while. Yet somehow, a new racing game has managed to be much better than I could have expected with Star Wars: Galactic Racer. https://youtu.be/pR-V3j-sc7s The game kicks off with you playing Shade. Shade delivers a package to Darius Pax, who is an alien who runs the racing competition, the Galactic Racing League. This league kicked off because podracers are expensive and hard to find, so…
There are so many headsets to choose from, from varying brands to models within the brands. You can spend nearly a grand on some headsets, or less than a hundred bucks. So knowing where you should spend that money, and when it is actually worth the money, can be a challenge. Well, I checked out the new JBL Quantum 520 Wireless headset which comes in at a shockingly reasonable $170, and at that price I can say it is well worth it. What does the JBL Quantum 520 Wireless offer? This simple headset will plug into any device that isn’t…
Update: Since the set launched I have played with a lot of the release that has since dropped in ANZ. As such I have updated portions of the review. Secrets of Strixhaven was such an insanely fun set. With a wide array of mechanics and so many fun ways to build decks, it was a cracking limited set, which had heaps of fun cards for Constructed. Well, with Reality Fracture, they have taken what worked with Strihaven, and made it so much more! If you don’t want to read all my words below, then let’s make it simple, this set…
Going into Marvel’s Wolverine, I was incredibly excited. Insomniac proved with Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 that their game-making chops were the next level, and so, with a character whose powers are different, I was excited to see how they would tackle Wolverine. The game left us, well, whelmed. What’s the deal with Logan? https://youtu.be/3Z42tBfBLJY The game opens with Wolverine as a feral beast as a nice man opens his hand to him to gain his trust, then we jump forward to him on a daring adventure with Sabretooth and Mystique. This adventure takes them face to face with Omega Red,…
There is nothing like an anniversary to remind you how old you are. With the Hunt for the Wilderpeople coming out recently, it is a nice reminder on its 10th anniversary of how much time has passed “recently”. Yup, this is a ten-year-old movie, my back is aching typing that. Anyway, when this movie released it felt like an immediate kiwi classic, and rewatching it now, it still is a bloody kiwi classic! The movie https://youtu.be/lfT2uq_rNms If you have already seen Hunt for the Wilderpeople, you can probably skip this bit. In short, we are presented with a state services…
I have been using a Galaxy Z Fold 6 for nearly 2 years now, and I am constantly torn about the benefits of a folding phone. It isn’t often that I actually use the phone open, but when I do, there is no replacement for that extra real estate offered. So I was pretty keen to see how the new Motorola Razr Fold might stack up. An actual case in the box This is something companies like Oppo and Motorola have done that blows me away. Including a case, so your phone is protected from the first day you are…
When it comes to turn-based tactics games, it is hard not to compare games to XCOM. That’s because, for a long time, it was the yardstick for excellent games like this. So, with Star Wars Zero Company releasing as a fancy new turn-based tactics game, I am going to work hard not to call it Star Wars XCOM. Even if it totally is. What is a Zero Company? https://youtu.be/AxAgeglgSeA Star Wars Zero Company drops us into the end of the Clone Wars. Here there are all kinds of chaos in the galaxy, and a dangerous cult has grown that needs…
