Dyson has unveiled the new Dyson PencilVac, the world’s slimmest vacuum.
It’s seriously thin, measuring only 38mm in diameter, or about the size of a 20-cent coin. The PencilVac is Dyson’s most compact cordless model to date, making it ideal for small apartments, busy homes, or anyone looking to save space and reduce clutter.
Set to arrive in New Zealand soon, the PencilVac pairs a minimalist form with powerful new tech, including Dyson’s smallest and fastest Hyperdymium motor, a hair-detangling Fluffycones cleaner head, and a new no-touch dust bin ejection system that makes cleaning more efficient and hygienic than ever before.
Designed to clean where others can’t, the PencilVac fits into the narrowest gaps, glides easily under low furniture, and is incredibly easy to store, manoeuvre, and use in tight spaces.

- New Fluffycones™ cleaner head with four rotating cones that easily eject long hair and clean in all directions; forwards, backwards and sideways
- Dyson Hyperdymium 140k motor, which is Dyson’s smallest and fastest vacuum motor yet, delivering powerful suction in a lightweight 1.8kg design
- 22mm linear dust separation system that captures 99.99% of dust particles and debris as small as 0.3 microns
- New dust compression and no-touch ejection system for a cleaner, more hygienic dust bin emptying process
- MyDyson app connectivity, offering the first cordless vacuum with connected features such as live battery insights and maintenance alerts
- Up to 30 minutes of fade-free suction, with a swappable battery available to purchase
