Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be the highlight for many here, being the acclaimed first-party blockbuster that it is. After their previous individual adventures, Peter Parker and Miles Morales team up in Spider-Man 2, bringing a bunch of new powers and the ability to quickly switch between characters. Insomniac Games have proven several times that they know how to make a damn good Spider-Man game, and Spider-Man 2 is the latest example.
For something less bombastic, this month’s update adds a couple of quiet, introspective games. Neva, Season: A Letter to the Future, and Venba all come from very different places and take very different styles, but they’re all share a personal, emotive approach and calm, relaxing atmosphere.
For RPG enjoyers, the first two games in the excellent Monster Hunter Stories spinoff are here, just in time to play through ahead of the launch of Monster Hunter Stories 3 next month. These games bring the monsters and world of Monster Hunter into a more traditional, story-driven JRPG with a monster-collecting element. There’s also Echoes of the End: Enhanced Edition, an updated version of an fantasy action-adventure set in a world inspired by Iceland’s wilderness.
All the games are in their respective catalogues as of yesterday, 17 February 2025. This month’s Monthly Games are also available for all PlayStation Plus tiers: Undisputed, Subnautica: Below Zero, Ultros, and Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown. They’re available to claim until March 2, but are yours to keep after that for as long as you have an active subscription.
