Ring has introduced their new Outdoor Camera Plus which promises to deliver its best image quality yet.

Featuring 2K video resolution and a wide field of view, the new device leverages the power of Ring Vision to provide exceptional clarity. It includes Low-Light Sight technology. This lets the camera capture detail and colour even in near-dark conditions. Yup you should be able to get a clear view at any time of day.

I can’t wait to play and see if it does all it promises.

You can pre-order now for $179 NZD and devices will start shipping on March 27, 2025.

You can read more about the fanciness below:

Brilliant Image Quality, Even in Low Light Conditions

Ring Outdoor Camera Plus delivers 2K video resolution, a wide field of view, and Low-Light Sight technology. Ring’s Low-Light Sight technology uses advanced image processing techniques to show a clear, colourful view even in near dark conditions. Even in a dimly lit front garden, the camera should capture moments with clarity and sharpness. It does this through the illumination of only a streetlight or other ambient light.

Outdoor Camera Plus’s video quality is powered by Ring Vision. This promises to deliver industry-leading video quality by combining software, hardware and Ring’s internal expertise. Ring Vision begins with a high-quality lens, which is perfectly matched with premium imaging sensors for crisp video definition.

    Simple and Flexible Installation

Available in both black and white colours, the Outdoor Camera Plus is designed to be used indoors or outdoors. It features a weather-resistant build, easy-to-install mount that can even work on ceilings, and multiple power options including battery, plug-in and solar.

Unlock More with a Ring Home Subscription

While Ring customers can enjoy features such as real-time alerts, Live View and Two Way Talk without a Ring subscription, the optional Ring Home subscription plans allow customers to access even more capabilities. With Ring Home Basic, customers can receive smart alerts notifying them to people, packages, and vehicles. On top of that is the ability to access up to 180 days of event video history, and more. Ring Home Premium on the other hand unlocks 24/7 Recording, which is available with plug-in and hardwired power sources.

Customers can also connect Outdoor Camera Plus to compatible Alexa-enabled devices to stream Live View, engage in Two-Way Talk, and more.

Built with Privacy and Security front of mind

Ring is a leader in delivering privacy features for customers, and like all Ring products and features, Outdoor Camera Plus was designed with privacy and security at the forefront. Ring was the first in the home security industry to require two-step verification for all customers, and the first major home security company to launch video end-to-end encryption as an advanced encryption option for customers. In addition, Outdoor Camera Plus features customisable privacy settings and privacy zones, which allows customers to block areas they do not want to monitor and record. Plus, like all Ring cameras, its blue indicator light is illuminated when recording.

Outdoor Camera Plus is available for pre-order today for $179 AUD and $179 NZD on Ring.com, Amazon.com.au and select retailers!
