The Kiwi summer is coming hot and fast. Some might say it’s a wee bit toasty already. Well if last year your Bluetooth speaker didn’t survive, or just wasn’t good enough, then the EPICBOOM want’s to be on your radar.

This latest UE Boom speaker has some pretty cool features, but with a price that may be a bit rough this summer. The EPICBOOM will be available in two sleek colourways at local retailers from 25 September, for $599.90.

    Key features include:

    • Designed for big sound – an innovative oval designed for impressive internal acoustic volume with a 4.6” woofer for bass clarity and immersive sound
    • IP67 rating, EPICBOOM is waterproof, dustproof & floatable
    • An internal microphone to dynamically adjust EQ when you move the speaker from indoors to outdoors. Through the updated BOOM app, you can customise your speaker with different preset EQs
    • Up to 17 hours of playtime with Bluetooth range of 55m (you can also play the speaker in water for the entire playtime period)
    • One touch NFC feature for NFC compatible smartphones with Android 8.0 or later
