It’s Valentines Day next Wednesday. Hold on, don’t panic, we almost forgot too.

The good news is we have been reviewing stuff, so we can recommend some cool stuff to get your loved one. Or yourself. Do you know what? You’re worth it.

Anyway, as always make sure you keep an eye on the bargains at PriceSpy.

    Show your love with GAMES!

Who doesn’t want a game? What better way to show your love than giving your loved one something to sink their teeth into and give them some peace and quiet.

    Phantom Abyss

Keith jumped into Phantom Abyss and said “when thoughtfully designed and carefully applied, it can be its own source of mechanical mastery and enjoyment.”. Sounds pretty romantic yeah? Maybe you should read the rest of his review!

    Tevi

When Matt checked out Tevi he reckoned “Tevi delivers a more refined take on the bullet hell metroidvania, with a more ambitious story to tell”. Is there anything more romantic than a bullet hell game? Well maybe coupling it with some peace and quiet to enjoy it and maybe your loved one will be as happy as Matt was with Tevi.

    Ghostrunner 2

Arman commented that “Ghostrunner 2 emerges as a riotously entertaining sequel, elevated by its cleverly expanded level design, blistering free running and firm difficulty.“.

What says I love you more than the sword in the image above? To each their own!

    The Legend of Steel Empire

“The Legend of Steel Empire is a welcome addition to any shmup junkie or retro enthusiast’s Switch library.” I mean, the words speak for themselves. Got a loved one with a Switch that needs to fill out their Shmup library? If so, Matt has sorted you out pretty succinctly there.

Show your loved one with GAMES, at the other end of the couch!

    PlayStation Portal

    Playstation portal

Blair took the PlayStation Portal for a hoon and found it is used at best as your second screen at home. If you are regularly fighting around who gets to use the TV? Well you can make your partner happy and take that stress out of your life. Win win!

GameSir Galileo G8 mobile gaming controller

Does your partner game on their phone and always complain about the thumb marks on their screen. Well problem solved, get them a GameSir Galileo G8!

To quote Matt: “All the comfort and reliability of a console controller, all the convenience of an extendable clamp-style mobile game pad, and none of the hassle of a full controller/phone mount setup. One of the best mobile controllers you’ll find.”

    Show your love with MUSIC!

    JBL Authentics 300

Authentics Speakers and Spinner BT Turntable

Want to give your love music, but still haven’t gone for that guitar lesson you swear you were going to for the last 10 years? Well load up a slick romantic playlist of The Bronx, The Black Dahlia Murder, Tech N9ne or whoever, and jam it on a nice new JBL Authentics 300. Blair checked it out and loved it’s style and functionality.

    Show your love with MOVIES!

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max

Why go out to the movies, when you can enjoy them at home by turning your TV into a quick as hell Smart TV using a Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max. Blair checked it out was impressed with it’s speed and awesomeness.

    Show your love with STORAGE!

WD My Passport SSD or SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD

It might be love day, but practical gifts always rule. If your loved one needs new storage on the go, then one of these beauties from WD might be for you. Blair took them for a spin and loved their speed, style and compactness.

If you need to make it romantic, chuck a collage of photos of your love or something on them.

    Show your love with MAGIC!

No I don’t mean magic, I mean Magic.

Magic: The Gathering: The Lost Caverns of Ixalan

DINOSAURS! MERFOLK! VAMPIRES! Frickin PIRATES! The Lost Caverns of Ixalan is a damn exciting Magic set and Blair absolutely loved it. Oh crap I was supposed to make this a romantic thing. How about you buy a Draft Booster box and spend Valentine’s night drafting. Boom there I pulled it back.

    Anywho, Magic is fun people!

Magic: The Gathering: The Lost Caverns of Ixalan

    Murders at Karlov Manor

Blair is playing with it, but hasn’t completed his review yet. The mysterious and intriguing story, and the fun of the Cluedo crossover makes this an interesting set. So far so good, but an interesting Cluedo and MTG boxed game can make for a very unique Valentines night.

Show your love with VIRTUAL BOOKS!

    Amazon Kindle Scribe

Blair’s review for the Kindle Scribe may not be live yet, but he has given a sneak peek. In short he is in love with this weird hybrid of an amazing e-reader and a note taker. Write, Read, Love. Maybe your partner just needs a break and to read a book quietly. Or maybe they have a million ideas and never write them down. Either way you can make them happy with this beauty.

Show your love with YOUR TIME!

Let’s be honest. The cost of living crisis is real. If you can afford some awesome pressies, then the above are awesome. But you know, spend some time with your loved one. maybe just a nice dinner and a movie at home is all you need. Or maybe sending the kids to bed early and enjoying a box of Double Brown’s.

the best gift you can give is you. That’s why we are in relationships yeah? If I was to give my wife a review, it would be 10/10: HELL YEAH! Cool stuff is cool, but our partners are what makes the weeks worth weeking.
